What makes
a good school ?
Is it the hoardings, is it
the ace photographer's shot of a child on the Prospectus? Is It
air conditioned classrooms and coaches or a caring environment and
a loving teacher, who makes learning purposeful and meaningful.
A school is not just a place
where information is forced on young minds. It is not a routine
where 6 potential hours are spent, not a mere building where teachers
and students gather and 6 subjects taught-but a powerful place where
future is locked in it.
Deciding a school for their
child is the most traumatic experience for any parent. In this “school
around every corner age”-parents often have a battle in hand when
they have to choose a school for their child. Hoarding, advertisement,
scream from roof tops vying with each other for admission. Promises
to turn every child into sure shot Einstein or today's Bill Gates.
But where does a child go in search of innocence values, search
for a place where he/she is respected as an induvidual? Where does
he find a place which moulds his personality at the same time allow
him space for creativity? adult pressures and problems are forced
on the young shoulders already burdened by the heavy curriculam.
Where does the child go then, to search for innocence to search
for values, to search for place where he/she is respected as an
individual?
Parental pressures, undue expectations,
over intelectualized curriculam, unfulfilled dreams-wrecks the young
minds. At the speed of a thought, technologies keep evolving and
lifestyles keep changing . All technology cannot help an induvidual
if he or she does not have the strength to face the challenges of
life. True Education should build the core values of a person making
them ready to face life.
Mount Banjara High School-
Aims at giving a well-rounded development in a positive environment
. The school helps the student to learn, to discover, to respond
positively, to grow, to compete to dream and to be ready for surprises
that many come up in life. For education is a continuous process
and learning in life never ceases. Each child is understood, cared,
for and attended to.
