Day Care Centre

A child’s world is fresh, new and beautiful, full of wonder and excitement. But in our high geared city life, with small families, parents are busy and often away from home for long hours, has deprived the children of the healthy environs of home and a joyful, natural family life. The chance of learning by imitation and example is becoming a rare thing for many children. Waldorf kindergarten and grades parents, who are working till late evening are finding it increasingly difficult to send their children to a daycare centre, after the school hours. Children too are finding it difficult to cope with entirely different situations and also get acknowledged with people whom they know less. Parents approached us with a need to have a place where the children can spend their time purposefully till evening. Recognising this need, we plan to provide a caring environment for children, after school hours. Also with internet becoming a far reaching aid, people are now calling us for help, with an earnest request to have this available by June 2007. Hence parents looking out for this facility can approach the school office for further details.

CO-CURRICULAR & EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:

The school encourages- cultural activities like Singing, Dancing & Drama. The students form literary clubs and maths club, Where various inter house and inter school competetions are organized. These activities keep the student active throughout the year and all the students are encouraged to participate. We often have programmes unifying the faculty and the students, like Excursion ,Picnics School fete, Annual day. On these days the entire school is buzzing with activity. Students and teachers work as a group where students learn team spirit, meeting deadlines and making presentations to the world outside and teachers move out of the curriculam to play different roles of a mentor, a guide, a friend to the students. Such days, though few in a year bring a binding, closeness which is carried into the classroom, into every learning process.

SPORTS/PHYSICAL TRAINING:

Physical Training is viewed as an important part of disciplining their abundant energy, which if not channelized might digress into negative, destructive acts. The curriculam makes sport compulsory for every student to ensure fitness of mind and body. This would certainly instill qualities like team spirit, endurance, toughness, competitive spirit which will help them for a lifetime. The child is encouraged to pursue sports as a career, if there is an aptitude and inclination. Sports form an integral part of the curriculam for the child needs a release from the monotonous subject schedule.
